Understanding YOUR Interests

Sitting a work today, I decided that the reason I am so unhappy there, is because I have neglected the activities that make me happy. I get so encompassed in work that I forgot about my love for creativity. I forgot about how much the outdoors inspires me to live life to the fullest. Not mention, almost forgetting about my love for shoes. Sorry DSW!!!

The boredom I feel, the sheer hatred for my job is not the actual act of working, its the rut I have created for myself. Do not get this confused for the love for my handsome husband, he is the best man in the world, full of support, love and of course cuddles.

The rut I am describing, is one that only comes from what you make for yourself. Maybe this will help, for those who do not understand. This describes those who get up 10 minutes before they should leave and do their make up in the car, those who go to work with the most negative attitude they already hate their day, the day before it happens. I have recently found the medicine to help this, we all need to find things that inspire, challenge and make you laugh every minute.

For me, pictures and designing shoes; yes a random combination I know! But these two crafts are what make life enjoyable.

My husband always says it would be nice to wake up in the morning and think to yourself, " I cannot wait to go to work," these are those two crafts that make me enjoy getting out of bed in the morning. I understand that in time feelings change, but strangely these are the two feelings that have never changed.

Here are some pictures that I have been working on that are a little different, though you might have seen them from the first post....But I just downloaded photo shop, so cut me some slack! ;)

Christmas Joy with New Experiences

Yes, it's Christmas time, personally this is my favorite time of year. I love spending time with my family, like many people,I think my family is the best!

This year Adam and I went to my side of the family for Christmas.Of course spending time with aunts, uncles, and cousins always comes with games, drinks, stories and in many instances embarrassing yourself. Yet, I can always be myself around each and everyone of them, knowing they all still love and support Adam and I no matter the circumstance.

Sadly, airfare decided to increase drastically, so we decided that we could defiantly drive 16 hours to Minnesota for many reasons:

1. Family (no one should be alone for Christmas).
2. We are crazy and like to see how far we can push ourselves until our bodies drop dead from exhaustion.
3.Snow, Texas is not the best place for Christmas, sorry true Texan lovers! But if it makes you feel better Minnesota had absolutely no snow.

Needless to say we were so tired. But the family took that feeling away with their great stories, wonderful memories and of course love. We had a beautiful new addition to our family this year, Juliet, yes this means, (to those who know me) this is number 13 as far as cousins go.

Here are the few photos from our trip. Feel free to comment, critique, anything..... There are not that many photos, but this only the beginning!
